Mascato participates in South Africa in the exporting company of fresh hake Plettenberg Bay.
Mascato invests in Namibia via the Merlus Group. The latter has its own fleet, which mainly catch hake and monkfish.

The Company’s presence in Chile is by means of Blue Shell. Blue Shells’ state of the art mussel processing plant is on Chiloe Island.
Raw materials are supplied via the subsidiary Cultivos Azules. Working with artisan fishermen, the Company also operates a packaging plant in Puerto Montt for the exporting of fresh hake.

From its head office in Vietnam, the Company directs the operations involving pangasius and clams from the Pacific, as well as those involving salmon and Alaska Pollock in China.
2011 saw the establishment of HUNG VUONG – MASCATO JV investing in a plant for processing pangasius.
The Asian products are marketed through the subsidiary Aquamar Asia Limited.
